Target Audience Research 2

I decided to create a second survey on survey monkey to allow me make some important decisions, I only asked females ages 15-25 to take part as this is my target audience. Firstly, I needed to come up with a name for my female artist who would feature on my double page spread. I jotted down some ideas and put my top four on to the survey. Bella Cruz was the most popular name with over 80% of the vote therefore this is the name I will be using on my magazine. Next, I needed to decide where the magazine logo/name should be positioned on the front cover. My front cover Research gave me a mixture of ideas as Q and NME positioned their logo in the top left corner where as mojo and total guitar positioned it in the top centre. The most popular choice on the survey was to position in the centre of the cover, I will take this in to consideration when designing the front cover as this is what the audience will find most appealing. Furthermore, the survey next asked if they thought 'hype' was a suitable name for a mainstream magazine, as 100% answered yes I have concluded that this will be the name of my magazine. In addition, I showed the audience two images I had taken of my model Phoebe which I was undecided on for which to use on the front cover. 94% chose the long shot  high angle image of Phoebe holding the guitar and looking in to the camera. This is the image I will be using on my front cover as I feel it represents mainstream music and the girl power which attracts the target audience. Finally I wanted an idea of what price to sell hype for, and the results help me conclude that the magazine would retail for £3.99.
