Creating the bar code

Today I created the bar code for my front cover on photo-shop. Here are three steps of the process:

Magazine Imporvements

This week I have made many adjustments to my magazine. Here are my improvements:

 Tomorrow morning is my second photo shoot with my model Phoebe. We will be using the studio to improve the image quality and to better suit my house style for the front cover and double page spread . I will also be photographing my male model to get a long shot or close up on my contents page.

Second Photoshoot Plan- Phoebe

For my second photo shoot I need to recreate similar images I have already taken of my model, but in a different setting, in a studio with a white background and bright lighting.  I want to achieve a long shot, mid shot and close up of my model so I can chose the most appropriate for my front cover by doing further audience research and asking them which one they prefer. To add to that, I want to take a photo for my double page spread in an outside setting, perhaps on the beach to make the article look more exciting. The model will wear a new outfit (pink blamer jacket, black belly top and a silver choker) I will stick with the pink theme to match the magazine's colour scheme.

Double Page Spread Improvements

From the feedback I was given I separated the image from the text so that there was a gap. I added blue to the quotes so that they stand out better. I also changed the text so it wasn't italic.My next step is to create a similar image but with a brand new background to make the article look more exciting.

Contents Page Improvements

From the feedback I have been given I have made some basic improvements to my contents page. I have re-positioned the images. I also changed the bottom image to a more quirky photo and mainstream style image. To add to that, I added blue lines to separate the text and so that the pink writing does not look over powering. Furthermore, I moved the page numbers further up so that they are in line with the sub titles. My next step is to take two more images for this page, a close up and a long shot so that there is a variety of image types on this page, preferably with male models.

Front Cover Improvements

After taking the advice given from previewing my rough cut I spent the hour making some basic improvements to my magazine. I changed the fonts of the front cover so they were easier to read and I also re positioned them. My next step is to take a new image with a more interesting background, and without the guitar as it will better suit the mainstream genre, and look more appealing to the reader.
